Job summary

BetMGM is seeking a Senior MLOps Engineer to own the path from trained models to production endpoints, balancing latency, cost, and reliability across batch and real-time inference. You will build a platform for data scientists and ML engineers, with feature stores, model registry, and robust CI/CD for ML workflows.

The role emphasizes a software‑engineering‑first mindset for distributed systems, observability, and on‑call readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping software in production with Python, Docker, Kubernetes or ECS and CI/CD.
• 3+ years operating ML in production with latency and cost budgets.
• AWS SageMaker depth across Training, Endpoints, Batch Transform, Models.
• Snowflake fluency with Snowpark ML and Cortex or similar tooling.
• IaC experience with Terraform; no manual deployments to production.
• Ownership of feature store parity; monitoring and incident handling.

Responsibilities

• Stand up and operate BetMGM’s ML platform on AWS and Snowflake with IaC.
• Build self-service templates for end-to-end model deployment with monitoring.
• Design batch scoring pipelines with explicit freshness and cost SLAs.
• Design real-time inference paths with sub-100ms latency budgets.
• Own feature store parity and drift/quality monitoring.
• Implement CI/CD for ML, including model registry and retraining triggers.
• Deploy champion/challenger, shadow, and canary patterns as defaults.
• Monitor drift and model performance; coordinate incident response.
