Job summary

BetMGM is seeking a Senior MLOps Engineer to treat ML systems as production software, owning from model to endpoint with latency and cost budgets across batch and real-time inference on AWS and Snowflake.

You will build self-service templates, manage feature stores, CI/CD for ML, drift and quality monitoring, and collaborate with data scientists and engineers to scale BetMGM’s AI-powered platform.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Machine Learning, or other STEM field; practical experience preferred.
• 5+ years shipping software in production with Python, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and on-call.
• 3+ years operating ML in production with latency and cost budgets.
• AWS SageMaker depth, Snowflake, and IaC experience are required.
• Experience with feature stores and model monitoring is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stand up and operate BetMGM’s ML platform on AWS and Snowflake with Terraform-managed infra.
• Build self-service templates enabling data scientists to ship models end‑to‑end.
• Design batch scoring pipelines with freshness and cost SLAs.
• Design real-time inference paths with sub-100ms latency budgets.
• Own feature store with online/offline parity.
• Build CI/CD for ML including model registry and retraining triggers.
• Implement champion/challenger, shadow deployments, and canary releases.
• Stand up drift detection, data quality, and model monitoring with paging.
• Own MLOps incident response and post-mortems.
