Job summary

Definitive Healthcare in Framingham, MA seeks a hands-on Principal MLOps Engineer to architect and scale enterprise AI infrastructure, spanning traditional models and Generative AI. You will design automated pipelines, ensure reliability, and drive best practices as the Functional Lead.

You will mentor senior engineers, establish lifecycle policies, and collaborate across teams to translate business goals into robust, scalable systems on AWS and Databricks.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of data/ML engineering experience.
• 5+ years building MLOps platforms in production.
• Hands-on production experience with Databricks and AWS.
• Proficiency in Python with TensorFlow/PyTorch deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable ML and data pipelines for CI/CD and deployments.
• Govern enterprise feature stores and vector stores for low latency.
• Build workflow orchestration for multi-stage training and data processing dependencies.
• Lead Generative AI infra for LLMs, RAG, and multi-agent workflows.
• Establish efficient training environments and fine-tuning pipelines.
• Optimize inference pipelines for high throughput and low latency.
• Manage model registry lifecycle from experimentation to production.
• Architect AWS autoscaling for training/inference workloads.
• Implement real-time monitoring for performance and drift.
• Set coding standards, architectural blueprints, framework choices, and SLAs.
• Mentor senior ML engineers and promote automation.
