Job summary

Wayfair is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Scientist to shape the roadmap of our Agentic Curation and Assortment Engine. You will collaborate with engineers, product, and business partners to model relationships across millions of SKUs and translate insights into scalable ML workflows.

Lead end-to-end projects from problem formulation to production deployment, mentor junior scientists, and drive data-driven improvements that influence Wayfair’s merchandising strategy and customer experience.

Qualifications

• PhD required or 9+ years with MS, 10+ years with BS in STEM.
• Experience leading ML projects and deploying models at scale.
• Expertise in graph-based ML and agentic workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy ML models to optimize product mix.
• Use representation learning, similarity search, and graphs on multimodal data.
• Improve model cost, efficiency, and production readiness.
• Lead end-to-end ML projects from problem framing to production.
• Define success metrics for curation and assortment.
• Collaborate with AI research and industry leaders.
• Develop agentic AI workflows for schema and data generation.
• Mentor junior ML scientists.
• Partner with product and engineering to productionize ML solutions.
