Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a Senior ML Operations Engineer to productionize ML systems, enhance robot health monitoring, and build scalable deployment pipelines for autonomous fleets. You will collaborate with ML researchers to bring new models into production, design predictive monitoring, and create data pipelines for training and evaluation.

You will deploy models using ONNX/TensorRT, Docker, and edge computing, while refining rollout, validation, and fleet-wide deployment processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Robotics, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of related experience in ML/AI engineering or MLOps.
• Strong Python development skills and hands-on ML model experience.
• Experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow for model development and deployment.
• Experience deploying ML models in production with Kubernetes, Docker, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with time-series analysis, predictive modeling, and telemetry data.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure and/or GCP) and SQL/data systems.
• Knowledge of edge computing and deploying models to GPU-accelerated environments.
• Excellent collaboration in cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve ML deployment infrastructure for large-scale robotic fleets.
• Collaborate with ML researchers to transition models from experiments to production.
• Develop health monitoring and telemetry dashboards for autonomous robots.
• Create data pipelines for dataset curation, labeling, training, validation, and evaluation.
• Deploy and optimize models using ONNX, TensorRT, Docker, and edge platforms.
• Improve model rollout, validation, and fleet-wide deployment processes.
• Develop simulation environments to accelerate model testing and releases.
• Support computer vision tasks like case detection, classification, and decision-making.
