Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE/Robotics or related field, with 4+ years of experience.
• Strong Python software engineering skills, including modular, well-tested code in a shared repo.
• Experience building end-to-end ML systems: data pipelines, dataset curation, training, evaluation.
• Experience designing scalable ML infrastructure: training/evaluation pipelines, experiment tracking.
• Solid grounding in statistics and experimental design for real-world decisions.
• Clear communication across software, ML and autonomy teams.

Responsibilities

• Curate datasets by building pipelines to discover, label, and organize driving scenarios into high-quality sets.
• Build scalable data pipelines with versioning, provenance, splits, and data contracts.
• Turn data into insight by analyzing dataset composition, coverage, and label quality across releases.
• Scale ML infrastructure: training, inference, evaluation pipelines with robust data loading and checkpoints.
• Develop and ship models from classical methods to deep learning, integrated into analytics pipelines.
• Own the metrics: define and validate model and release metrics with statistical rigor.
• Run thoughtful experiments: baselines, ablations, cross-validation, holdout and uncertainty quantification.
• Build tools engineers love: dashboards and services for comparing versions and visualizing results.
• Raise the engineering bar: promote testing, type checking, code review, and fast CI.
• Partner across autonomy: collaborate with autonomy, simulation, data, and infrastructure teams.
