Job summary

Scale AI is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for the Public Sector in Washington, DC. The role focuses on deploying cutting-edge models for government systems, including generative AI and computer vision, leveraging Scale’s data and infrastructure to improve products and customer outcomes.

You will work with extensive datasets, refine models through retraining and hyperparameter tuning, and collaborate with product and research teams to prototype ML-driven enhancements across multiple

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with GenAI, Agentic AI, NLP, deep learning and/or CV in production.
• Strong programming skills in Python; experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.

Responsibilities

• Take state-of-the-art models and deploy them in production to solve customer problems.
• Improve and maintain production models via retraining and hyperparameter tuning.
• Collaborate with product and research teams to prototype ML-driven enhancements.
• Work with large datasets to develop generic and product-specific models.
• Build scalable ML infrastructure to automate services.
• Serve as cross-functional advocate for ML across engineering and product.
