Job summary

Samsara is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Safety Engineering - Triage & Insights team. You will own customer-facing features across web, mobile, and APIs, delivering AI-native safety workflows at scale.

You’ll collaborate with Product, Design, ML, and platform teams to ship scalable, AI-powered solutions while ensuring reliability and impact across industries.

This remote role is open to US and Canada residents, emphasizing collaboration, learning, and building for the long term.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong programming fundamentals in a language such as Golang, Java, or Python.
• Experience developing features across backend services, APIs, and modern web applications.
• Experience or demonstrated interest in AI-native development, including integrating LLMs into products.

Responsibilities

• Own customer-facing features end to end from design to production.
• Architect, build, test, and deliver full-stack products across backend services, APIs, and web/mobile experiences.
• Build AI-native product experiences: integrate LLMs, agent tooling, and RAG.
• Design evaluations and feedback loops to improve accuracy and reliability of insights.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, ML, and platform teams to ship AI-powered solutions.
