Job summary

Hadrian is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to own the ML lifecycle for language models that understand and reason about manufacturing data packages. This role focuses on DFM analysis automation and building AI-powered workflows in our rapidly growing environment in Torrance, CA.

You will research, develop, and deploy fine-tuned LLMs, build annotation tooling, evaluate models beyond accuracy, and collaborate with the ML team to shape the AI platform roadmap while delivering high-impact

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of AI/ML experience with at least 2 years working with large language models (fine-tuning, RLHF/DPO, or pre-training).
• Strong Python and PyTorch fluency; wrote training loops, loss functions, and data loaders from scratch when needed.
• Production deployment ownership: shipped models to production with endpoint and health responsibility.
• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience valued equally.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and deploy fine-tuned language models for document classification, extraction, and reasoning
• Build annotation tooling and active learning loops; engineer synthetic data augmentation
• Develop evaluation frameworks beyond accuracy and CER to quantify system behavior and user impact
• Collaborate with ML team to set the technical and product roadmaps for the AI platform
• Drive improvements to reduce time-to-value and scale impact
