Job summary

Hadrian is building autonomous factories that accelerate aerospace and defense manufacturing through advanced software and robotics. The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will own the ML lifecycle for detection and segmentation models central to our manufacturing intelligence pipeline.

You will collaborate with a core team across design, data, and production, delivering end-to-end ML solutions and evaluating performance beyond conventional metrics.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of professional experience building and shipping computer vision models
• Deep expertise in modern architectures using transformer backbones (ViT, Swin, etc.)
• Strong Python and PyTorch fluency: custom training loops, loss functions, data loaders
• Production deployment ownership: shipped models to production and maintained endpoints
• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience valued equally

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and deploy cutting‑edge object detection and segmentation models for layout analysis, document understanding, and semantic part understanding
• Build and maintain annotation tooling, implement active learning loops, and engineer synthetic data augmentation strategies
• Develop evaluation frameworks to quantify system behavior and user impact beyond standard metrics
• Collaborate with ML team to set technical and product roadmaps for the AI platform
• Aim for incremental accuracy gains to reduce man-years at scale
