Job summary

T-Mobile USA, Inc. is seeking a senior ML Engineer in Frisco, TX to lead architecture, design, and deployment of enterprise-scale GenAI and ML systems. You will build end-to-end pipelines, implement RAG capabilities, and drive MLOps standards across cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP.

You will mentor teams, evaluate new AI technologies, and collaborate with partners to advance T-Mobile's AI roadmap, delivering large language model applications and intelligent automation.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and deploying enterprise-scale applications powered by LLMs with API integration to providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, or Hugging Face).
• Experience implementing RAG architectures with document ingestion, embeddings, vector DBs, and semantic retrieval.
• Experience designing NLP and semantic systems (NER, text classification, semantic search, entity disambiguation) on cloud platforms.
• Experience establishing MLOps/AIOps for production ML, including Docker/Kubernetes serving for LLM inference at scale, model optimization, monitoring, and CI/CD.
• Experience fine-tuning LLMs using transfer/few-shot learning for domain-specific use cases.
• Experience designing knowledge graph architectures integrated with LLMs for improved reasoning and retrieval.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and development of enterprise-scale ML and GenAI systems aligned with business goals.
• Architect end-to-end ML pipelines: ingestion, feature engineering, training, optimization, deployment using Python, SQL, cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Design and deploy production AI systems on cloud platforms, selecting compute/storage/inference tech.
• Develop autonomous AI agents with RAG capabilities for conversational AI and enterprise task automation.
• Establish MLOps standards: CI/CD, model versioning, monitoring, governance for reliability.
• Evaluate GenAI tech and benchmark LLMs to inform product roadmap.
• Translate ML concepts into actionable insights for executives and stakeholders.
• Mentor data scientists and ML engineers in GenAI best practices.
• Collaborate with partners and cloud providers to adopt cutting-edge AI advancements.
• Drive delivery of GenAI solutions including LLM apps and intelligent automation.
