Job summary

Karsun Solutions is actively supporting modernization efforts for the Department of Veterans Affairs, focusing on scalable ML models, data governance, and cloud-based platforms. This contingent role emphasizes delivering enterprise ML capabilities while ensuring security and regulatory compliance.

The position may require onsite presence in the DMV area two days per week, with eligibility for security clearance and a DTC-focused environment leveraging low-code/no-code and cloud-native solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience; 10 years may substitute for the degree.
• Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining ML models and pipelines in production environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust background.
• Available on contract award and willing to sign a letter of commitment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable ML models and pipelines for enterprise objectives.
• Apply ML frameworks and lifecycle management practices to improve predictive capability and automation.
• Lead model integration with enterprise platforms via APIs and reusable components.
• Lead model performance monitoring, including drift detection, retraining, and validation.
• Protect PII/PHI in training data and outputs under HIPAA/VA privacy requirements; support security/documentation for ML components.
• Educate stakeholders and provide technical guidance to ensure on-schedule delivery.
