Job summary

PathAI, based in Boston, MA, is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer (Applied Research & Model Development) to tackle unique ML challenges and advance medicine. Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience or PhD with 3+ years of experience.
• Proven track record developing and deploying ML models into production or research.
• Proficient in Python, ML frameworks, and data pipeline development.
• Ability to work independently and lead experiments, improving ML workflows.
• Ability to collaborate across scientific and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for research and product development.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product teams to translate requirements into scalable ML solutions.
• Contribute to experimental design, documentation, and reporting.
• Participate in knowledge sharing, design reviews, and governance activities.
• Improve ML pipelines and infrastructure in partnership with MLOps and platform teams.
• Publish and present scientific work, supporting abstracts, manuscripts, and conference contributions.
