Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement robust AI and data governance platforms.

You will help ensure privacy, security, and compliance across the ML lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed governance into scalable systems. You will lead a multidisciplinary team to build and deploy governance workflows, authentication, and data lineage solutions, aligning with GDPR, CCPA, and DMA requirements while advancing Apple’s responsible AI

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in developing Data & AI governance software or integrating systems with governance systems.
• Experience working with large data collection and processing systems.
• Proficiency in data management and building scalable AI-enabled platforms.
• Strong understanding of privacy and regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, DMA).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy scalable AI and data governance and lineage systems.
• Architect authentication and access control frameworks for data and models.
• Develop backend services in Java, Scala, Kotlin, Go, or Python with privacy and compliance in mind.
• Build batch and streaming data pipelines with Spark, Hadoop, or Flink.
• Create REST APIs and SDKs with Spring, React, or Node.js to manage governance approvals at scale.
• Architect fault-tolerant serving systems on AWS, GCP, or Kubernetes for data integrity and auditability.
• Collaborate with security, legal, privacy, and data engineering teams to mitigate risk in distributed environments.
