Apple Inc. in Seattle, WA seeks a Senior Software Engineer focused on AI and Data Governance to design and implement robust frameworks ensuring ethical, secure, and compliant use of data assets and AI systems.

You will lead teams to build scalable governance platforms that protect privacy and security across the AI lifecycle. You will collaborate with security, legal, privacy, and data teams to embed GDPR, CCPA, and DMA requirements into workflows and deliver governance tooling that scales

Qualifications

8+ years experience in developing Data & AI governance software or integrating systems.
Experience with large data collection and processing systems.
Proficiency in data management and building scalable AI-enabled platforms.
Strong understanding of privacy and regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, DMA).
Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, IS, or related field.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy scalable AI and data governance and lineage systems across ML lifecycles.
Architect authentication and access control frameworks for data and models using OAuth 2.0 and ABAC.
Develop backend services in Java, Scala, Kotlin, Go, or Python embedding privacy and compliance.
Build batch and streaming pipelines using Spark, Hadoop, or Flink for governed data.
Design REST APIs and web tools to manage governance approvals at scale.
Architect scalable serving systems on AWS, GCP, or Kubernetes for data integrity.
Collaborate with security, legal, privacy, and data teams to manage risk and compliance.
