Job summary

Optimum in New York is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to architect, deploy, and monitor end-to-end ML solutions leveraging AI/ML principles and enterprise tools such as Google's CES and Vertex AI. You will translate business needs into production-ready models and agent-based workflows, collaborating with stakeholders across engineering, product, and operations.

The role requires strong Python and SQL skills, cloud platform experience, and a track record of deploying agentic AI

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering.
• 3–5 years of work experience in classification, regression, clustering, NLP, experiments and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Google's CES and production deployment across its components.
• Experience building agentic AI systems in production with agent/multi-agent architectures and tool usage.
• Strong Python and SQL skills; R experience is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms and data warehouses (e.g., GCP, BigQuery, AWS).

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into agentic AI data solutions.
• Design high-level agent and model architectures for production-grade solutions.
• Develop data pipelines, feature engineering, and EDA for ML projects.
• Deploy and monitor agentic AI systems on Google Cloud and Vertex AI.
• Lead cross-functional projects from data collection to productionalization.
• Communicate findings to stakeholders to inform business decisions.
