Job summary

Intuitive Surgical seeks a Sr Software Engineer to join the Intraoperative Intelligence Group. You will develop and deploy products that influence the future of intelligent robotic surgery by integrating ML models with the da Vinci platform.

The role is hands-on, focusing on C++ applications, data stream integration, and understanding robot software architecture in a Linux environment, with exposure to CUDA and ML concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering; 5+ years industry experience, or Master's with 3+ years preferred.
• 3+ years of experience with C++ development, preferably in Linux.
• 3+ years of experience working with Linux; familiarity with OS design, command line tools, and building/running software from command line.
• Some experience with CUDA is highly desired.
• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write C++ applications that run ML models on the da Vinci system.
• Integrate and deploy ML models with data streams from the robot.
• Learn and use the software libraries and build systems used on the da Vinci platform.
