Job summary

Applied Intuition’s Axion Data team is hiring a data engineer to build data pipelines and optimize engines for edge and cloud ML workloads. You will integrate foundation models to automate labeling, while improving data quality and observability for stakeholders.

You will collaborate across edge and cloud domains, work with DoD-facing use cases, and contribute to scalable ML iteration cycles within a strong in-office culture in Sunnyvale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Familiarity with modern ML infrastructure and GPUs.
• Created or worked on microservices and/or databases for data-oriented software.
• A hunger to learn and grow into a position of ownership and impact on a new product team.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Construct optimized data pipelines to run ML models.
• Evolve data engine architecture to scale labels and accelerate ML iteration.
• Integrate foundation models (LLMs, VLMs) to automate labeling and data discovery.
• Leverage software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Interact with the DoD customer to understand use cases and triage needs.
