Job summary

Precise Systems seeks a Senior Engineering Technician to support MK 41 VLS ISEA tasks at NSWC Port Hueneme Division. The role focuses on installation, upgrades, testing, diagnostics, and documentation to sustain fleet readiness and enhance combat system capabilities.

Candidates should have 5+ years in MK 41 VLS, a current SMT/TD certification, and the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance. On-site work at Norfolk, VA with benefits under SCA wage determinations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; AS degree preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Launcher Engineering: support installation, upgrades, testing, diagnostics, and procedure updates.
• On-site services for VLS system installations and hardware upgrades.
• Perform root-cause analysis and diagnostics for fleet operations and events.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate VLS functionality and readiness.
• Maintain technical and logistics documentation including TMs, PMS, and waivers.
• Provide QA and oversight during OEM production, decommissioning, and harvesting.
