Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to own the production release of a mixed-signal SOC for the TeraWave project. You will guide the ASIC from tape-out through qualification, enabling high-volume production and cost efficiency.

Based onsite in San Diego, CA; Bay Area, CA; or Renton, WA, with a temporary remote work exception during site development. Relocation support is provided and travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bring mixed-signal or digital SOCs from definition to production release.
• Own product releases through characterization and reliability testing.
• Hands-on IC testing knowledge: ADC/DAC, SerDes, datapath, and CPU bringup.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, DFT (scan, BIST, JTAG).
• Experience with JMP, DOE, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Digital BeamformerSOC product release through tape-out to production.
• Define characterization/qualification plans for AFE, DFE, datapath, timing calibration.
• Lead validation/test groups; set data collection, datasheet validation.
• Define SOC interfaces: SerDes, SDIF, Ethernet, SPI/I3C, FEIC.
• Own failure analysis across lifecycle; drive corrective actions.
• Develop and validate ATE test solutions with DFT-based tests.
• Assess radiation-mitigation features and SEE testing.
• Review NPI hardware designs and bring-up boards.
• Drive cost reductions via yield and test-time improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers.
