Job summary

Restoration 1 New Jersey is seeking an experienced Senior Mitigation Project Manager to own restoration projects from opportunity to completion. This is not an entry-level or technician role; you will secure losses, scope work, direct field crews, write estimates, and drive files through insurance approvals.

You will work with homeowners, managers, adjusters, TPAs, and referral partners, manage timelines and margins, coordinate with internal teams, and uphold documentation and communication

Qualifications

• Experience managing water, fire, mold and insurance-related mitigation projects.
• Ability to write accurate estimates in Xactimate.
• Ability to coordinate with insurance adjusters, TPAs and carriers.

Restoration 1 New Jersey is looking for an experienced Senior Mitigation Project Manager who can take ownership of a restoration project from the initial opportunity through completion.

This is not an entry-level position and it is not a technician role.

Secure the job, scope the loss, manage the project, direct the field team, write the estimate, communicate with insurance adjusters and TPAs, and drive the file through approval and completion.

If you have spent years in the restoration industry and understand how to successfully manage water, fire, mold, and insurance-related mitigation projects, we want to talk with you.

What You’ll Own

As a Senior Mitigation Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of your projects, including:

• Responding to new losses and opportunities
• Meeting with homeowners, property managers, agents, adjusters, and referral partners
• Securing signed authorizations and converting opportunities into active jobs
• Inspecting losses and developing the proper mitigation scope
• Creating the project plan and directing technicians and field crews
• Monitoring job progress, documentation, drying, equipment, and job quality
• Writing accurate and complete estimates in Xactimate
• Working with insurance adjusters and carriers to review scopes and obtain approvals
• Managing supplements and addressing discrepancies with carriers
• Working within TPA guidelines and programs
• Maintaining proper documentation and communication throughout the project
• Managing customer expectations from start to finish
• Keeping projects moving quickly while maintaining strong margins and customer service
• Coordinating with internal operations, reconstruction, accounting, and management teams

Requirements

This Role Is Different

We are not looking for someone who simply visits jobs and checks on technicians.

We want a project owner.

You should be comfortable walking into a loss, determining what needs to happen, earning the customer's confidence, getting the paperwork signed, building the scope, directing the production team, writing the estimate, working with the adjuster, and seeing the project through until the file is properly approved and completed.

You will have the authority and resources to manage your projects and will be rewarded for producing strong results.
