Thompson Software Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Mission Systems to design, develop, integrate, and test software for avionics, mission computing, and data links. You will work as part of a multi-site team to deliver real-time capabilities for next-generation aircraft and defense platforms.

The role requires a strong background in C/C++ development for real-time embedded systems, plus experience in mission systems software architecture and integration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM required.
5+ years of C/C++ development experience.
Experience in mission systems software architecture, including design, development, and integration.
C / C++ development for real-time embedded systems.
Integration and interoperability testing in lab and simulated environments.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, integrate, and test software for core mission capabilities within avionics architectures.
Contribute to mission computing, data links, displays, sensors, CNI, mission computers, and weapon systems software.
Collaborate in a multi-site team to deliver cohesive, real-time operational functionality.
