Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Edwards, CA, is seeking a Sr. Principal Test Conductor - Mission Planner to lead mission planning for developmental flight tests and support lab activities.

You will collaborate with maintenance, design, and test teams on cutting-edge unmanned systems and ensure safety, efficiency, and effectiveness. The role requires exceptional written and oral communication, appropriate security clearances (Top Secret, SAP eligibility), and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Background in mission planning in operations, flight test or training environments.
• Active US government Top Secret clearance with recent background investigation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance.
• Experience with mission planning tools JMPS, PFPS, AFMSS.
• Experience with unmanned systems.
• Pilot/Navigator/Mission Planner experience preferred (USAF/USN/USMC)

Responsibilities

• Create test article mission plans and routing for developmental efforts.
• Provide pre/post mission support planning and documentation.
• Review and evaluate test requirements for completeness and feasibility.
• Provide laboratory support for integration testing.
• Interface with test article/software design and analysis teams to define test configuration and data requirements.
• Support test readiness reviews and pre/post-test briefings.
• Conduct pre/post-test data analyses to support anomaly identification and resolution.
• Maintain metrics on status of testing and constraints.
• Collaborate with maintenance, design engineering, and test teams.
