Apex Technology, Inc. seeks a Staff Mission Integration Engineer to own complex spacecraft analysis and serve as the primary liaison between customers and technical teams. This role supports mission integration across programs and ensures mission success from concept to operations.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in complex hardware or capture management, aerospace or defense experience, and strong orbital dynamics knowledge. Travel to launch sites is required.

Qualifications

• U.S. Person status is required to access export controlled data.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or related field.
• 12+ years building complex hardware systems (spacecraft preferred).
• Experience with satellite manufacturing or defense/high-tech sectors is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of space systems, orbital dynamics, and mission operations.
• Experience with prime contractors or government programs.
• Familiarity with CCSDS, S-band, X-band communications.
• Proficient with Excel and technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end mission architecture for large complex missions.
• Lead space vehicle I&T planning including payload integration and environmental tests.
• Develop and integrate mission capabilities into Apex architecture.
• Perform mission analysis, including orbital mechanics and trajectory planning.
• Serve as primary technical liaison between customers and internal teams.
• Lead CLA, thermal analysis, and EMC assessments.
• Create and maintain mission budgets (power, mass, data, pointing).
• Travel to launch sites for payload integration and system checkouts.
• Support mission operations teams in orbit maintenance.
• Develop technical documentation, procedures, and lessons learned.
