Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. seeks a Staff Mission Manager to lead complex satellite bus missions, interfacing with customers and steering cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and mission services.

The role requires autonomy, technical judgment, and strong communication to resolve issues and align stakeholders. You will mentor fellow managers, shape mission execution processes, and contribute to best practices across the lifecycle of commercial and government programs, with access

Qualifications

• Requires U.S. Person status to access export controlled data.
• Over 10 years in technical program, project, mission, or systems management in space/aerospace/defense preferred.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance desired but not required.
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional programs with customer, schedule and execution requirements.
• Leadership across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and other functions without direct authority.
• Strong understanding of satellite technology and spacecraft systems.
• PM certification (PMP, CAPM) required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior point of contact for Apex customers, owning communication and execution.
• Lead high-priority missions with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.
• Establish and manage integrated mission schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Identify and mitigate mission-level risks and technical challenges; escalate when needed.
• Translate complex information into clear customer communications and decisions.
• Drive alignment and decision-making across stakeholders in changing environments.
• Improve mission management processes, tools, and execution standards.
• Mentor other Mission Managers to raise organizational capability.
