Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Staff Mission Integration Engineer to own complex spacecraft analyses and serve as the primary liaison between customers and technical teams to ensure mission success.

You will act as a generalist across programs to support customer mission integration and program execution. Responsibilities include defining end-to-end mission architecture, leading I&T planning, and developing technical budgets while coordinating cross-functional teams in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

  • U.S. Person status is required due to export controlled data access.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering field.
  • 12+ years of experience with complex hardware systems or technical capture management.
  • Experience with satellite manufacturing or related aerospace/defense industries is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of space systems, orbital mechanics, and mission operations.
  • Experience with prime contractors or government entities.
  • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, STK, FreeFlyer, GMAT, or other mission analysis tools.

Responsibilities

  • Define end-to-end mission architecture for large complex mission sets across spacecraft, launch vehicle, ground systems, and operations.
  • Lead I&T planning including payload integration, environmental tests, and launch vehicle integration.
  • Develop and integrate customer mission capabilities into Apex architecture.
  • Perform mission analysis including orbital mechanics and trajectory planning.
  • Serve as primary technical liaison between internal teams and customers on strategic programs.
  • Lead CLA, thermal analysis, and EMC assessments.
  • Develop and maintain mission-specific technical budgets.
  • Travel to launch sites for payload integration and system checkouts.
  • Develop technical documentation and procedures; support future mission proposals.
