Job summary

Axon is seeking a Senior Manager for Mission Engineering & Operations in North Carolina. You will lead embedded Mission Engineers, shaping technical delivery across strategic public safety agencies, and ensure adoption of secure, scalable solutions.

You will mentor experienced contributors, manage cross-functional collaboration with Product and Engineering, and drive measurable agency impact while maintaining CJIS compliance and high standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in customer-facing technical delivery, systems integration, solutions engineering, implementation consulting, operational transformation, or comparable environments.
• 5+ years leading and developing senior technical individual contributors in customer-facing organizations.
• Executive presence with the ability to earn trust, communicate trade-offs, and guide decisions with senior leaders.
• Broad technical fluency across SaaS platforms, cloud services, APIs, networking, hardware, integrations, data workflows, and AI-enabled technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a distributed team of embedded Mission Engineers across strategic agency environments.
• Coach contributors through complex technical decisions and high-stakes delivery moments.
• Establish clear ownership, technical quality, onsite partnership, production delivery, and adoption expectations.
• Build development plans to expand engineers' technical range and leadership capabilities.
• Foster curiosity, candor, responsible experimentation, continuous learning, and shared accountability.
• Onboard and onboard new Mission Engineers while building credibility with agency stakeholders.
