Job summary

Axon is seeking a Senior Manager to lead a distributed team of Mission Engineers embedded with public safety agencies in the Southeast US, with travel up to 40%. You will coach senior contributors, set clear delivery and partnership standards, and turn field problems into secure, maintainable solutions that scale across the organization.

You will stay close to the portfolio to spot patterns, manage risk, and connect field learnings back to Product, Engineering and leadership.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in customer-facing technical delivery
5+ years leading and developing senior technical individual contributors
Experience leading distributed or field-based teams across multiple customers
Record of improving technical execution and delivery consistency
Broad fluency across SaaS, cloud, APIs, networking, hardware and AI-enabled tech
Executive presence with ability to communicate with senior leaders

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a distributed team of embedded Mission Engineers across strategic agencies
Coach ICs through complex decisions and high-stakes delivery moments
Set ownership, technical quality, and adoption expectations
Create development plans to expand technical range and leadership
Foster curiosity, candor, accountability and continuous learning
Staff growth by onboarding capable people and earning credibility with stakeholders
