Job summary

Lunar Outpost Inc. in Golden, Colorado, seeks a Lead Mission Director to plan, prepare, and execute LTV missions, coordinating a multi-disciplinary team across engineering, flight operations, and safety.

You will lead real-time Artemis mission operations, develop flight plans, enforce flight rules, manage contingencies, and collaborate with NASA FOD, the Lunar Outpost IPTs, and other stakeholders to ensure crew and vehicle safety.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in spaceflight mission operations with technical leadership.
• Experience leading preflight planning and real-time mission execution.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams in collaborative environment.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays during active missions.

Responsibilities

• Make real-time mission execution decisions during LTV ops.
• Lead flight operations team ensuring crew and vehicle safety.
• Coordinate with Systems Engineering, AI&T, and Program Office.
• Develop and evaluate mission objectives per guidelines.
• Develop and execute Flight Plans per requirements.
• Enforce Flight Rules for safety.
• Lead mission plans with NASA FOD and stakeholders.
• Resolve contingencies to restore normal operations.
