Job summary

Knutson Construction is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating, procurement planning, design management, value optimization, and client engagement for Mission Critical projects in Minnesota.

You will supervise the estimating team, develop GMPs, coordinate with project managers, and drive risk management, schedules, and collaboration with operations and business development to win profitable work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field with 10+ years of preconstruction/construction experience
• Associate’s Degree in a construction-related field with 15+ years of preconstruction/construction experience
• Strong knowledge of estimating, scheduling, cost control, and material pricing
• Experience with design-build and IPD processes and value-based design

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction process across missions critical pursuits
• Develop accurate cost estimates, GMPs, and buyout strategies
• Coach and develop estimators and staff; coordinate workload with Preconstruction leadership
• Manage budgets, schedules, and risk for the design and preconstruction phases
• Collaborate with operations, marketing, and business development to pursue profitable work
• Build and maintain client relationships; position Knutson for future opportunities
