Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Staff Systems Engineer – Mission Analyst to lead the design, analysis, and optimization of satellite missions and LEO constellations across programs. You will influence architecture, perform system-level trades, and guide mission analysis from concept to deployment and end-of-life planning.

The role requires deep expertise in orbital mechanics, constellation dynamics, and spacecraft operations, with strong communication skills to brief executives and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Aerospace Engineering, Astrodynamics, or Systems Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of mission analysis frameworks and modeling tools for LEO constellation design.
• Define and influence constellation architecture, including sizing and coverage strategy.
• Lead system-level trade studies and evaluate mission architectures and configurations.
• Provide technical direction and expert review of mission analysis products across programs.
• Drive alignment between mission requirements and system design.
• Lead technical reviews and present findings to stakeholders.
