Job summary

AV is seeking a Missile Systems Simulation, Test & Analysis Engineer to support development, integration, and flight testing of a next-generation counter-UAS missile in Huntsville, Alabama. This senior role spans system modeling, guidance and control, seeker integration, flight-test planning, and post-test analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, aerospace, mechanical, computer engineering, physics, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years in missile or high-performance flight systems.
• Experience developing or using six-degree-of-freedom simulations.
• Strong knowledge of guidance, navigation and control, state estimation, and flight dynamics.
• Experience analyzing flight-test, telemetry, radar, or seeker data.
• Proficiency with Python, MATLAB/Simulink, C++ or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and validate 6-DoF and lower-fidelity missile simulations.
• Evaluate missile performance against threat profiles and conduct trade studies.
• Integrate aerodynamic models, propulsion, seeker and radar models into simulations.
• Develop visualization tools and analysis software to support testing.
• Plan and support flight tests, range activities, and test operations.
• Collaborate with design, software, GNC, radar, systems, and customers.
