Job summary

i3 in Huntsville, AL seeks an engineer with strong programming experience to support computer modeling and simulation activities for guided and unguided rockets. This on-site role requires hands-on software development in C/C++ under Windows and Linux, and knowledge of missile dynamics.

You will develop requirements, test and document software, demonstrate results to customers, and present concepts to engineers and teams. A BS/MS and an active Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering and/or Computer Sciences (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred)
• Active Secret Security Clearance and ability to maintain Clearance required
• Minimum 3 years of engineering related programming and system performance analysis
• 3-10 years of programming for engineering analysis
• Strong background in C and/or C++ development
• General knowledge of missile dynamics and subsystem functions
• General knowledge of physics-based simulation and numerical methods
• Working knowledge of command line operations, compiling from the command line and remote connectivity

Responsibilities

• Perform software development and system study activities related to missile simulation data processing, analysis, and visualization.
• Develop testable requirements based on customer input for DoW environment training and simulation software.
• Responsible for testing and documentation associated with developing software applications.
• Perform demonstrations and interface with customers to ensure product meets end customer goals.
• Present engineering concepts to internal teammates and customers alike.
• Other duties as assigned.
