Job summary

Avion Solutions Inc. is seeking a Missile Flight Test Engineer to support the US Army Space and Missile Defense Command.

This position is located in Huntsville, AL, and requires extensive flight test and defense systems engineering experience, with travel up to 25% and a DoW security clearance. Responsibilities include providing technical assistance, program execution support for ballistic missile targets, and lifecycle coordination with government program managers and engineers.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of flight test, defense system, and/or aerospace engineering experience.
• Experience in DoD/DoW systems engineering, system integration and test operations.
• Familiarity with MRTFB test documentation and processes (RCC, UDS, range safety data).
• Must be a U.S. citizen and have a DoW security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and program execution support for ballistic missile targets engineering, development, and live-fire flight test operations.
• Support lifecycle program management and coordination for USASMDC target programs.
• Assist in requirements tracking, risk management, design reviews, and on-range test activities including staffing operations.
