Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY seeks a Sr. Project Engineer – Missile Systems Lead to plan and execute technical scope for several development projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to meet milestones.

The role reports to the Technical Director, Missile Systems, and includes mentoring, customer liaison, and involvement in proposal cost analysis, with potential DoD clearance considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
• 5 years of engineering experience.
• 3 years of leading technical development projects or technical initiatives.
• Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Contractor Security Clearance; currently holding a clearance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of technical, cost and schedule performance for development programs.
• Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses.
• Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.
• Set the direction for the technical engineering team, coordinate a cross‑functional team of designers, drafters, analysts, technicians, and manufacturing engineers.
• Mentoring and training of less experienced project engineers.
• Be the main technical point of contact for the customer.
• Proposal volume development and costing support for Mission Enabling Services Group business unit.
• Occasional travel to support customer meetings and business development needs.
