Job summary

Moog in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer – Missile Systems Lead to oversee critical development programs onsite.

You will validate solutions through trade studies, document designs and analyses, and set direction for a cross-functional engineering team including designers, drafters, analysts, technicians, and manufacturing engineers. Responsibilities include mentoring engineers, serving as the main technical customer contact, and supporting proposals with costing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
• 5 years of engineering experience.
• 3 years leading technical development projects.
• Must be able to obtain DoD Contractor Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of technical, cost and schedule performance for development programs.
• Validate conceptual problem solutions by performing trade studies and analyses.
• Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.
• Set the direction for the technical engineering team, coordinate a cross-functional team of designers, drafters, analysts, technicians, and manufacturing engineers.
• Mentoring and training of less experienced project engineers.
• Be the main technical point of contact for the customer.
• Proposal volume development and costing support for Mission Enabling Services Group business unit.
• Occasional travel to support customer meetings and business development needs.
