Job summary
Everforth ECS in Arlington, VA is seeking a Senior Missile Engineer to support DoD program offices and a fast-paced defense environment. The role focuses on missile system engineering, test planning, and program management support with significant interaction across laboratories, vendors, and government partners.
The candidate will oversee requirements validation, manage technical and financial reports, and coordinate with program offices.
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in systems engineering, development, testing, and/or process management.
- Strong understanding of agile development methodologies and project management principles.
- Advanced skills inMicrosoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for mission-critical projects.
- Customer-focused with a people/service-oriented mindset.
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
- Prior experience in DoD/military projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide missile system engineering, test planning and execution.
- Offer program management support (technical, cost, schedule) and reporting.
- Monitor field activity, lab and vendor/contract technical status.
- Prepare technical and financial reports and status updates.
- Coordinate tasking for vendors, contractors and program office.
- Attend monthly management/technical reviews with stakeholders.
- Travel to customer sites and mission-critical locations as required.
