Job summary

Parsons is seeking an experienced Performance Analyst Engineer for the Huntsville, AL team to analyze Ground-based Missile Defense (GMD) systems in support of the MDA. You will perform mission and system performance analyses, develop tools in MATLAB and Python, and communicate results to leadership.

The role requires a SECRET or higher clearance, a Bachelor's in Engineering with 10+ years of experience, and strong skills in modeling, statistics, and simulation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline with 10+ years of related experience.
• Active security clearance (SECRET or above) is required.
• Demonstrated experience supporting MDA GMD Programs.
• Advanced proficiency in MATLAB, including model development, data analysis, and visualization.
• Proficiency with Python, including NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib.
• Experience evaluating missile defense engagement performance, interceptor effectiveness, or mission performance.
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis, numerical methods, optimization techniques, and simulation-based assessment.
• Experience interpreting simulation outputs and presenting findings to leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform performance analyses of Ground-based Missile Defense (GMD) system capabilities using modeling and simulation tools.
• Develop analytical methodologies to evaluate system effectiveness, interceptor performance, engagement outcomes, and mission success.
• Design, develop, and maintain analytical tools using MATLAB and Python.
• Conduct statistical analyses, Monte Carlo simulations, and trade-space assessments to support engineering decisions.
• Analyze large datasets from missile defense simulations to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Develop technical reports, presentations, and visualizations for leadership.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, modeling and simulation teams, software developers, and SMEs to define approaches.
• Support design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and customer briefings.
• Maintain analytical documentation and ensure consistency of modeling assumptions.
