Navanti Group is seeking a Mining Specialist to support a comparative study of local supplier development in critical-minerals mining. The role will assess operating supplier-development models and develop practical recommendations for local procurement, capability development, and supplier scale-up in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in mining, industrial engineering, geology, mining economics, or related discipline.
• English C1 and Spanish B1 proficiency.
• At least 7 years in mining or productive development.
• At least 6 years designing, implementing, or evaluating mining supplier-development programs, production chains, or local procurement.
• At least 5 years of Latin America project experience, including Chile or Peru.

Responsabilités

• Analyze operational design of mining supplier-development programs including selection, certification, scale-up, and financing.
• Identify best practices in local procurement, tech transfer, supplier capability development, and engagement with mining companies.
• Assess critical-minerals supply chains and mining-industry requirements.
• Evaluate collaboration among mining companies, local suppliers, governments, and intermediaries.
• Identify lessons learned, success factors, and risks for implementation in Latin America and the Caribbean.
• Contribute to feasible recommendations for regional replication and applicability.
