Job summary

South32 Group Operations Pty. Ltd. seeks a Procurement Specialist to provide end-to-end procurement support for the Hermosa project, coordinating sourcing, supplier onboarding, and due diligence to deliver materials safely and efficiently.

You will work with internal stakeholders and suppliers to manage procurement risks, lead negotiations, and ensure alignment with project objectives. The role includes time at the Tucson/Hermosa site in Patagonia, AZ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, accounting, or related field.
• CPM/CSM certifications are assets.
• Minimum 3 years in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain in heavy industry.
• Experience with Blanket/Master/Supplier Agreements is valued.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, SharePoint, Aconex and ERP/contract systems.
• Experience with SAP, Ariba, CCMS or similar procurement apps is a plus.
• Commitment to safe work culture and high ethical standards.
• Strong written and spoken English; Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute pre-award procurement activities including RFQs and tendering.
• Evaluate vendor proposals and support award recommendations.
• Assess procurement and supply risks, lead times and supplier performance.
• Perform post-award activities: PO issuance, onboarding, expediting, warranties.
• Manage vendor relationships and KPI reporting through closeouts.
