Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mining operations, materials, and equipment.
• Proficiency with RSMeans data and tools.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel ~20% to sites or offices.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed cost estimates for mining, processing, and infrastructure projects.
• Analyze drawings, specs, proposals to build time, cost, labor estimates.
• Use RSMeans to benchmark and develop accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, PM to ensure comprehensive estimates.
• Develop and maintain cost databases, benchmarks, and estimating tools.
• Identify risks and opportunities; provide mitigation strategies.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotes; participate in bid reviews.
• Support project lifecycle with ongoing cost analysis.
• Mentor junior estimators; contribute to process improvements.
• Assist PCM and Software Engineering teams in automating estimating processes.
