Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Senior Mineralogist to join the Carlin operations. You will deliver high‑impact mineralogical support to optimize gold processing performance and diagnose metallurgical issues.

Lead and mentor technicians, design mineralogy programs, and collaborate across geometallurgy teams to drive safe, efficient operations while maintaining data integrity and QA/QC standards.

Qualificações

• Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, Mineralogy, Metallurgical/Materials Engineering, or related field is required.
• MSc/PhD in mineralogy, process mineralogy, or economic geology preferred for Senior Mineralogist.
• 5+ years experience in a mineral processing or metallurgical lab, preferably in gold, is required for Senior Mineralogist.

Responsabilidades

• Characterize ore, plant, and exploration samples focusing on gold occurrence and minerals.
• Diagnose refractory behaviors and link mineralogy to processing performance.
• Provide rapid plant troubleshooting using mineralogical data and recommendations.
• Design and oversee sample preparation for mineralogy programs.
• Develop mineral analysis methods using microscopy and MLA/QEMSCAN/TIMA.
• Ensure data integrity, QA/QC, and adherence to lab SOPs and information systems.
• Produce concise technical reports for metallurgists and engineers.
• Collaborate with exploration, geology, processing, and environmental teams on geometallurgy.
