Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines in Carlin, NV, is seeking a Metallurgical Technician to support the Carlin Met Lab. Under the metallurgist, you will perform tests for quality control and improvement projects in the processing facilities, including the mill and heap leach.

You will maintain equipment, prepare samples, analyze results, and help ensure safety and regulatory compliance. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to grow within a dynamic, high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of metallurgical, laboratory and processing analyses (preferred).
• Ability to collect samples, process and report results (required).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions (required).
• Strong written and oral communication skills (required).

Responsibilities

• Execute sampling plans and analyze samples in lab and process plant.
• Maintain laboratory and analytical equipment.
• Order and stock process lab supplies.
• Assist in evaluating new metallurgical testing equipment or protocols.
• Assist in managing vendor contracts for services and equipment.
• Ensure understanding of applicable regulations affecting the area.
