Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Senior Metallurgist for the Fourmile Project to provide technical leadership and optimize metallurgical processes. You will drive continuous improvement, monitor KPIs, and support safe, efficient operations to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in metallurgical operations.
• Experience with roasting, calcine leaching, or refractory gold processing.
• Strong data analysis and process control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to optimize crushing, dry milling, roasting, off gas handling, and CIL circuits for improved gold recovery, throughput, and reagent consumption.
• Monitor metallurgical performance KPIs and implement corrective actions when deviations occur.
• Address process upsets and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for process-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
• Mentor junior metallurgical engineers and technicians and provide training to operations staff on metallurgical practices.
• Manage metallurgical projects from conception through completion, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet objectives.
