Job summary

Geopros seeks a Mineral Processing Leader to provide technical direction across all project phases, optimizing metallurgical designs for performance and cost. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, support project execution, and mentor engineers while visiting client sites as needed.

The role supports growth in the U.S. market with heap leach and hydrometallurgical focus, and involves business development and client engagement to strengthen long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical, chemical or process engineering.
• 12 to 20+ years of mineral processing or extractive metallurgy experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams on complex EPCM projects.
• Proven involvement in feasibility studies, due diligence, large EPCM or capital projects.
• Strong modelling/simulation tools knowledge (JKSimMet, Molycop, LIMN, Bruno, Metsim, etc.).
• PE licensed in Arizona, Nevada or eligible states.
• Willingness to travel to client sites (occasional to frequent).
• Heap leach experience preferred; bilingual (Spanish or French) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering activities from studies through commissioning.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary projects and act as technical authority.
• Drive process optimization to improve recovery, throughput, reliability.
• Oversee teams to deliver safe, cost-effective, high-quality solutions.
• Advise clients on design, performance and operational strategies.
• Develop metallurgical testwork programs to support flowsheet design.
• Prepare key deliverables: mass balances, PFDs, P&IDs, design criteria, specs.
• Support business development with proposals and client relationships.
• Mentor and develop junior to intermediate engineers.
