Job summary

Geopros seeks a Mineral Processing Leader to provide technical direction across all project phases, optimizing metallurgical designs for performance and cost. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, support project execution, and mentor engineers while visiting client sites as needed.

The role supports growth in the U.S. market with heap leach and hydrometallurgical focus, and involves business development and client engagement to strengthen long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical, chemical or process engineering.
• 12 to 20+ years of mineral processing or extractive metallurgy experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams on complex EPCM projects.
• Proven involvement in feasibility studies, due diligence, large EPCM or capital projects.
• Strong modelling/simulation tools knowledge (JKSimMet, Molycop, LIMN, Bruno, Metsim, etc.).
• PE licensed in Arizona, Nevada or eligible states.
• Willingness to travel to client sites (occasional to frequent).
• Heap leach experience preferred; bilingual (Spanish or French) a plus.

Job description

Geopros is actively seeking a Mineral Processing Leader. In this position, you’ll provide technical leadership and strategic direction for metallurgical and process design activities across all project phases. You’ll oversee multidisciplinary teams, support project execution and ensure that processing solutions are optimized for performance, operability and cost efficiency.

You’ll play a key role in supporting growth in the U.S. market, particularly in projects involving mineral processing, heap leach and hydrometallurgical processes. You’ll also occasionally visit client sites, support business development efforts and mentor junior engineers to support team growth.

Job Duties:

• Lead process engineering activities for projects, from studies through to detailed engineering and commissioning
• Lead or contribute to projects as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team
• Serve as the technical authority on mineral processing and extractive metallurgy design and operation
• Drive process optimization by improving recovery, throughput and operational reliability
• Oversee multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, cost-effective and high-quality solutions
• Advise clients on process design, performance improvement and operational strategies
• Provide guidance on the development and analysis of metallurgical testwork programs to support flowsheet design
• Lead the preparation of key process design deliverables (mass balances, PFDs, P&IDs, design criteria and technical specifications)
• Support business development by contributing to proposals and strengthening client relationships
• Mentor and develop junior and intermediate engineers to enhance team capabilities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical, chemical or process engineering
• At least 12 to over 20 years of experience in mineral processing or extractive metallurgy within mining or EPCM environments
• Experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects
• Experience supporting feasibility studies, due diligence work, large-scale EPCM or capital projects
• Strong background in process modelling and simulation tools (e.g. JKSimMet, Molycop, LIMN, Bruno, Metsim etc.)
• Professional Engineer (PE) in Arizona, Nevada and eligible states
• Available for occasional to frequent travel (site visits, commissioning)
• Strong experience in heap leach systems (gold, copper or similar) would be preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish or French) would be preferred
