Job summary

Capstone Copper's Pinto Valley operation in Miami, AZ is seeking a Mine Production Superintendent to lead open pit mining and integrated planning across the mine-to-mill value chain. The role emphasizes maximizing value addition while controlling costs, with responsibilities spanning planning, budgeting, information systems, and continuous improvement.

The position requires extensive experience in open pit mining and strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in open pit mining and integrated planning.
• Experience with mine planning cycle, including R&R statements and budgeting indicators.
• Experience with SAP or similar purchasing programs; familiarity with Vulcan/MineSight/Terrain/AcQuire is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement the integrated planning process connecting stakeholders to ensure the complete chain of value main variables in the production commitments.
• Manage the copper production processes planning, ensuring implementation of plans that maximize information management and timely decision-making.
• Enhance integrated process across the productions areas to ensure correct decision when deviations arise.
• Develop the Integrated Center of operation project and implement it during the following year.
• Lead the budgeting process, interacting with finances and the commercial area.
• Consolidate EOM results including mine production, metallurgical balances, sand production and water balance.
• Lead and ensure the sustainability of the MOS for integrated planning and Mine ops systems and processes.
• Ensure compliance with the production plan using reconciliation tools across the value chain.
• Develop clear plans to move strategic projects into the mine planning cycle with milestones.
• Participate in BPD preparation each Month.
• Ensure integration of information on production processes (single data).
• Deliver robust and quality information to support production decision-making.
• Maximize mineral recovery and processing (TPH) through the mine-to-mill task force.
• Ensure technological resources for information transmission to productivity areas.
• Design, implement and comply with the area's budget.
• Manage the implementation of continuous improvement processes.
