Job summary

Capstone Copper is seeking a Mine Production Superintendent for the Pinto Valley mine in Miami, AZ. You will lead production planning, coordinate with finance and commercial teams, and drive continuous improvement across planning and operations.

The role emphasizes maximizing value, ensuring timely decisions, and sustaining information systems that support production. Candidates should have extensive open pit experience and strong leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in open pit mining and integrated planning.
• Experience with SAP or similar purchasing program.
• Experience with mine planning software such as Vulcan, MineSight, Terrain, AcQuire.

Responsibilities

• Implement the integrated planning process connecting stakeholders to ensure the value chain is aligned.
• Manage copper production planning and ensure timely decision-making to maximize value addition.
• Enhance integrated processes across production areas to support correct decisions during deviations.
• Develop the Integrated Center of Operation project and implement it in the coming year.
• Lead the budgeting process and interact with finance and commercial teams.
• Consolidate end-of-month results including mine production, metallurgical balances, and water balance.
• Lead and sustain MOS for integrated planning and mine ops systems.
