Hudbay is seeking a Senior Short-Term Planning Superintendent to lead detailed mine planning, scheduling and optimization for open-pit operations. You will oversee ore control, manage stockpiles, and coordinate a planning team to deliver practical, cost-effective plans that meet safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years of proven experience in mine engineering in open pit operations.
• At least three years in a senior supervisory role within a technical department.
• Experience in mine design, operation planning and scheduling.
• Ability to lead a team and manage budgets while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
• Oversee ore control and stockpile management to optimize mine plans.
• Lead and develop the mine planning team and ensure effective performance.
• Ensure plans are practical, economical and compliant with standards and regulations.
• Manage the mine planning budget and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with the Copper World Integrated project team and communicate with management.
