Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Level Permitting Specialist to join our Mine Environment team in Boise, ID. The role focuses on permitting strategy, baseline studies, and remediation for mining projects, with collaboration across the global mining team.

You will mentor junior staff, analyze data, and contribute to proposals, technical reports, and client deliverables while adhering to US regulations and WSP standards. The position supports a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Geology, Biology, or related field with regulatory compliance experience.
• Minimum 7 years in natural resources, permitting, consulting or similar.
• Familiarity with state and federal mining regulations and NEPA.
• Experience communicating results via reports and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Support permitting strategy, baseline studies, and remediation for mining projects.
• Develop proposals, schedules and budgets for mine permitting projects.
• Lead and mentor junior staff; perform data analyses and technical reviews.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality reports on time.
